Start Date: As soon as possible Closing Date: 9am, Friday 25th October Salary: £33.58 per hour (£29.96 plus £3.62 holiday pay) The Prospect Trust is a leading Multi-Academy Trust in the South of England, with an aim of providing outstanding education for all learners within a family of local academies. There are currently three academies within the Trust: The Sixth Form College Farnborough, Tomlinscote School and Frimley Church of England Junior School. Key strengths of The Sixth Form College are:

  • The Role: Instrumental Tutor We are looking for a teacher who displays the following characteristics:
  • A thoughtful and self-reflective approach to pedagogy;
  • A desire to be an outstanding practitioner;
  • Ability to demonstrate a variety of teaching methods and musical styles;
  • An ability to teach students covering a wide range of abilities and experiences;
  • A passion for their instrument/voice;
  • Excellent performance and theoretical knowledge and a desire to build on this;
  • Enthusiasm for working with 16-19 year old students.
  • In addition we are looking for a candidate who recognises the critical importance of developing our students' literacy and numeracy skills and will implement this as an integral part of their teaching. The successful applicant is expected to be flexible, not afraid to meet challenges, and innovative in their approach to teaching. Hours required: The role is for 5 hours per week currently due to high student demand. The Curriculum Area of Music There are currently four specialist teachers in the Music department who teach Eduqas Music A level, Edexcel BTEC Music Performance and Edexcel Music Technology to over one hundred and fifty students. There are also currently thirteen specialist instrumental/vocal teachers. Key strengths are:
