Reporting to the company manager, the pig farm worker will work on a 900-sow outdoor breeding unit selling 7kg weaners on a 3-week batch system.

Dry sows are housed in tents on radials and floor-fed via rota feeder. The farrowings are a mix of group paddocks on radials and individuals, floor-fed, ad-lib and individual. Some tractor driving experience would be helpful as the sites use two loader tractors and an RTV buggy. Salary range: £25,000 - £28,000 DOE Plus:
- Auto-enrolment pension on standard contribution rates
- A performance-related bonus
- 31 days holiday (incl bank holidays)
- A static caravan 30-45 minutes away Hours:
- Typically, 07:00 - 15:30/16:00, but some days, e.g. weaning, will be longer.
- Average weekly hours work out at 45-50 (not including holiday hours)
- Weekend rota is every other weekend, always two people on. No lone working
