Full Job Description

Casual & Temporary Contract: January-April, Monday-Friday (1pm - 4pm, with some flexibility)

An outstanding First Aider is required to support the PE Department in ensuring that pupils receive high quality pitch side first aid. Duties will include providing first aid treatment and emergency care as necessary for pupils and staff, ensuring confidentiality is maintained, as well as being the first point of contact for any injuries or health issues that arise at Grove Park, the schools off-site sports venue.

The ideal candidate will possess a first aid qualification or have experience providing first aid to students and be able to maintain health records accurately, confidentially, and safely.

CLS was named by the Sunday Times as London Independent Secondary School of the Year 2020, and occupies fine, modern buildings near St. Pauls Cathedral overlooking the Thames, opposite the Tate Modern. There are impressive off-site sports facilities in south east London.

CLS is fully committed to the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion. We have a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Forum for staff, and another for pupils, which are used to help drive progress forward.

It is a top priority for the School that we both attract and retain a staff body that is not only excellent, but also reflects the London community within which we live, and our diverse pupil body. As such, it is of paramount importance to the School that we acknowledge our current imbalance and seek to rectify this. We are therefore particularly keen to encourage applications from candidates who have African Caribbean, Asian or other Minority Ethnic or mixed heritage. All appointments are merit-based, following a fair, transparent recruitment process. In accordance with the Equality Act 2010, however, the School may employ positive action where diverse candidates demonstrate the ability to perform the role equally well.

City of London School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Further information about the school and a copy of the most recent ISI Inspection report are available on the school website.
