Full Job Description

An exciting full time opportunity exists for a Placement Co-Ordinator role within the Placement Team of YAS Academy Education department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and effective allocation of placements for Student Paramedics and observers with due consideration given to various criteria, including expected demand of our service, job role/skill mix of staff, and budgetary constraints.Main duties of the job The roles will be based at one of the YAS Academy training sites and home working:

  • Elmbank, Wakefield
  • Walnut Lodge, Tickhill Road, Doncaster
  • Burn Hall, Tollerton Road, Huby, York,
  • Full time hours will be 37.5 per week (full time) Monday to Friday. Must be willing to travel to meetings across the region from time to time. As Placement Co-Ordinator you will have contact with University partners, Students and external candidates wishing to undertake a placement with YAS. Communication will be primarily via e-mail and telephone, but occasionally face-to-face., The Placement Coordinator will work closely with the Placement Manager to ensure the effective delivery of an efficient, quality assured placement programme. The Placement Coordinator will provide administrative functions for student placements and support for the Placement Manager, students and education providers. They will work with education providers to ensure placements meet required standards and regulatory body requirements and act as the first point of contact between the placement environment, education provider, student and Trust to ensure appropriate and required placements meet programme and student needs. They will effectively utilise the Global Rostering System (GRS) in the production of student rosters to allocate appropriate shifts for their placements.
