Full Job Description

The Temporary Accommodation service works with residents of the city who are currently homeless. We are looking for a Placement Officer working as part of a large team to manage the movement in and out of Temporary Accommodation, across many forms of accommodation. The service works with a diverse range of residents, supporting those in vulnerable situations during a complex time in their lives., As a Placement Officer you will work alongside the wider Temporary Accommodation service to support residents who are homeless and owed an accommodation duty by the Council. This will involve placement of household into suitable properties, providing information about their placement and ongoing accommodation to ensure they are supported. You will also be working with Temporary Accommodation providers to ensure any issues are dealt with quickly, minimising impact to the tenant, provider and the Council. The work in the service is fast paced and you will work with residents facing a wider range of situations, with vulnerablities and from diverse backgrounds.
