The team…

The post will be based within the Commissioning team with a focus on Adults placements and will provide efficient, professional, and comprehensive business support to source placements, ensuring appropriate contracts are in place, accurate payments are made to providers and data reports are prepared for senior managers.

About the role….

You will provide a high level of customer service to all stakeholders via telephone, email or in person, including acting as the first point of contact into the team for care packages and placements in order to deal effectively with all enquiries received. Liaising with health and social care professionals to confirm requirements for assessed packages of care and placements, supporting external providers to complete electronic data updates. You will lead on the development of and maintain information systems, collate information, and produce reports that analyse information to support strategic commissioning plans. You will support the commissioning team to set up new contracts including accreditation of providers, monitoring, and review.

It is essential that you have an NVQ Level 3 in Business Admin or equivalent or relevant experience and 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at Grade 9-5 or A-C or equivalent and knowledge of office-based software packages e.g., Microsoft, support databases and systems for recording and monitoring e.g., financial management and social care and knowledge of social care and health services.

You will have experience of data bases, word processing and spreadsheet systems including input, retrieval, collation of information and producing reports. You will have effective numeric skills including an understanding of financial monitoring systems, written and oral communication skills, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with partners, providers and service users, implementation, and development of manual and computerised admin systems, working independently and using own initiative, working to deadlines and competing priorities and presenting reports to managers.
