Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Placement Officer to play a pivotal role in preparing students for successful work placements and fostering strong connections with employers. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference in students' lives by equipping them with the skills, experience, and confidence they need to thrive in the professional world. Placement Officer - Key Responsibilities:
- Empowering Students: Deliver 1-2-1 and group sessions to promote employability skills development, ensuring students are fully prepared for the workplace.
- Placement Matching: Pair students with suitable work placement opportunities that meet high-quality standards and individual aspirations.
- Building Relationships: Engage effectively with employers, students, parents, and college staff to create and secure valuable placement opportunities.
- Ensuring Compliance: Oversee health, safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding requirements, ensuring all college procedures are fully met before placements begin.
- Ongoing Support: Conduct regular monitoring visits to employers' premises, tracking student progress, supporting learning outcomes, and addressing any concerns.
- Data Accuracy: Provide timely and precise updates on students' progress, contributing to quality audit processes and maintaining robust college systems.
