Placement Student-Software Programming

We are looking for an enthusiastic Software Programming placement student to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for our Engine Business Segment in Darlington, UK. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential! This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence 1st July 2025 This position will be 100% onsite Monday to Friday, business hours, so we will only consider candidates who will be able to travel or relocate to the location., To be successful in this role you will need the following,

• Leading small projects and initiatives from requirement gathering and definition through to implementation. For this you will use set business analysis and methodologies.
• Supporting Industry 4.0 deployment and work on support of hardware and systems.
• Improving IT and related business processes through your involvement in cross functional support collaborating with different teams and departments throughout the business.
• Developing business intelligence solutions using Microsoft PowerApps and PowerBi along with other industry software packages.
• Supporting and improve process through process flow mapping, data collection and analysis, testing and problem solving.
• Involvement in production support as required.
  
  Studying towards a degree within IT, Business, Project Management, Software or Programming - some experience in coding would be advantageous.
• A good understanding of computer systems and software as well as a basic understanding of the Business Analyst or Application Support role.
• Competent in Microsoft Office.
• Effective communication skills.
