Full Job Description

We are looking for an outgoing, well organised, pro-active and self-motivated individual to join the Placements Team within Academic Registry. The role will support Students in the provision of placements in learning environments in accordance with programme requirements and specific requirements of Professional Bodies. Academic Registry plays a vital role in the everyday operations of the University, overseeing a number of core administrative services which support every aspect of the student journey, from enrolment through to graduation. We put students at the heart of everything we do. Operating centrally, we collaborate across all our schools, faculties, campuses and partner institutions to help the University achieve its mission by ensuring that every student who studies with us has an exceptional experience, is able to achieve their potential, and can go on to enjoy a successful career. Our experienced specialist teams oversee the crucial administrative processes which ensure that
our courses are delivered to the highest standards and that the University complies with all professional, statutory and legislative requirements. You'll be joining one of the University's largest teams, made up of more than 180 staff, ranging from senior strategic managers to experienced administrators and ambitious recent graduates.

Your experience in Higher or Further Education administration should include expertise in working with complex databases, extracting and analysing datasets to perform data quality checks and monitoring functions, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, along with the ability to work well under pressure, to prioritise your workload and that of your team and to meet deadlines. The ability to work as part of a team, to work flexibly and to multitask are essential requirements for this role. You will be an active networker and have the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team along with key stakeholders external to the University.

You will possess well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal with customers in a patient, friendly and efficient manner and will have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Applicants will have a range of GCSEs, including English Language and Maths at Grade C/Grade 4 or above, or appropriate equivalent experiential learning.

Current experience of working in Higher or Further Education administration is desirable, as is experience of delivering high quality customer service and line managing or supervision of staff., Disability Confident
