Planned Preventative Maintenance Engineer - PPM Engineer

Ready to engineer excellence and shape the future of preventative maintenance at Shangri-La Hotel? We are looking for an experienced PPM Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will provide a pro-active and re-active maintenance service to the hotel kitchens, restaurants and associated areas under the guidance of the Director of Engineering and Engineering Manager. Within your role you'll be:

• Ensuring that everything is in working order throughout the hotel, and is consistent with Shangri-La standards
• Providing emergency assistance to other team members or associates when required
• Ensuring Guest Satisfaction is maintained at all times
• Providing General Maintenance cover when required
• Undertaking PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive tasks as required by management schedules or circumstances in a timely and appropriate manner
• Ensuring the PPM trolley\workshop area is clean and tidy at all times. To ensure availability of spare parts for bedrooms are maintained at all times
• Ensuring ALL equipment and tools are used following the correct method to comply with Health and Safety requirements
• Understanding and adhering to department risk assessments and to identify any new risks
• Ensuring Water supplies and drainage systems throughout the kitchens, restaurants and associated toilet areas are maintained & checked on a regular basis
• Liaising with the Head Chefs of each kitchen on a daily basis to establish if there are any challenges with their respective areas that require attention.
• Able to make the best business decisions to seek external assistance for breakdown and routine servicing of specialist equipment (including Gas appliances) and act accordingly.
