Full Job Description

Network Rail Training deliver a wide range of learning solutions from technical and vocational skills, through to professional development, safety, leadership, new entrant programmes and higher education designed and developed to enable continuous improvement of safety and business performance across the business. Everything we do is to support Network Rail’s safety culture of getting everyone home safe every day.
As a Planning Administrator
you will provide general administrative support to all Network Rail Training activities and provide a seamless planning, booking and administration service to our customers.

About the role (External)

1. Process training bookings, amendments, and cancellations on behalf of internal customers, and training delivery teams, in the Planning and Administration System to meet key performance indicators.

2. Monitor the utilisation of classes within the Planning and Administration system and proactively increase the utilisation of places.

3. Identify risks in the delivery plan due to under-utilised training events, to training delivery teams, in accordance to set key performance indicators.

4. Process the booking and cancellation of training places procured by external customers.

5. Provide reports relating to training delivery activities to customers and stakeholders as required.

6. Collaborate with colleagues in the Planning and Administration team to offer a seamless and consistent service to training delivery teams and customers.

7. Raise purchase orders for external training providers to procure services.

8. Respond to queries from customers and Network Rail Training delivery teams as necessary.

9. Process all non-system administrative activities, including and not limited to the updating of course results, production of manual Joining Instructions and issuing of certificates.

10. Actively support delivery of Planning and Administration volumes and key performance indicators.
Essential

• Proven administrative / analytical skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• IT literate, strong excel, word and PowerPoint knowledge
• Excellent attention to detail and quality driven approach to working
Desirable
• Experience of working in a Customer Service type environment
