Planning Officer

£33,945 - £37,336 per year. We are recruiting a Planning Officer in our Development Management Team to be part of the team delivering unprecedented levels of regeneration and development within Swansea., The successful candidate will be responsible for the processing of planning and other applications, appeal and enforcement work in a specified area of the City & County of Swansea. You will be required to deal directly with the public, potential applicants & their agents to deliver an efficient, effective & customer friendly planning service. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated person, able to meet deadlines and help the department meet performance targets.

The position is full time, permanent and is based at the Civic Centre, Swansea with agile working arrangements

Swansea is on the cusp of unprecedented levels of regeneration & development investment. Council led major regeneration projects at Swansea Central Phase 1, Kingsway and Tawe Riverside are already underway. Other transformational projects will follow as the private sector recognises the development and inward investment opportunities in Swansea. Key to the continued success of our city regeneration is the role of our planning service.
