Full Job Description

DWP help people lift themselves out of poverty and to stay out of poverty, through work, saving and support. This is a hugely important public service and our challenge is bigger than ever. As part of Counter Fraud and Compliance and Debt (CFCD) you will be at the heart of DWP's front line operations helping to change people's lives and supporting CFCDs purpose of fighting fraud in the welfare system. The role will require you to work flexibly and collaboratively both within National Delivery and Assurance Service (NDAS) and with wider Counter Fraud, Compliance and Debt and Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) colleagues. It will involve you providing IT support for project-managed initiatives, monitoring and updating the CFCD Business Plan, and working with Functional Leads and their teams to facilitate activities to identify and implement solutions to deliver the business. You will be required to:
- Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with a range of stakeholders including senior leaders.
- Assist with project-managing specific initiatives, including capturing meeting notes, monitoring action plans, road maps and milestones, updating MS Project, updating stakeholders, and where relevant taking the lead on delivering specific actions.
- Develop an understanding of current performance challenges and barriers within CFCD, working with Functional Leads and their teams to facilitate activities and identify and implement solutions.
- Engage with CFCD colleagues to monitor progress against objectives and to update the CFCD Business Plan.
- Develop high quality communication products through a variety of methods including Microsoft applications.
- Be a team player who is happy to be agile in their ways of working and embrace the flexibility needed to undertake ad-hoc tasks and re-prioritise work streams to meet business needs and deadlines.
- Be able to undertake occasional travel as required with some overnight stays to attend face to face meetings and conferences.
