Full Job Description
Your work environment : We have a vacancy for a Plant Controller based at our production facility in Peterborough (UK), reporting directly to the Plant Manager and functionally to the Finance Director, Bevcan EMEA. The successful candidate will be a key player within the Plant Management Team providing Finance support to the plant. The Peterborough Plant is a key site within Bevcan Europe & Middle East, producing beverage cans and operates 24 hours a day on a continuous shift system, 360 days per year and employs approx.205 people. Your mission in Crown:
- Monitor the financial key performance indicators of the plant, according to the Group accounting rules, USGAAP and local statutory requirements.
- Ensure strong internal controls framework and compliance to internal policies.
- Manage the finance team. Financial Control
- Prepare and analyse budget and rolling forecasts, and ensure reporting is delivered on time in full.
- Monitor manufacturing costs and analyse variance against standard manufacturing costs.
- Support the others plant departments in analysing their cost performance.
- Control, alert and implement corrective actions in case of identified financial issues.
- Participate actively in the continuous improvement programme to achieve World Class Performance in the finance area. Internal Control
- Responsible for the accuracy of the financial statements in line with the internal rules, actualize and follow internal controls and procedures.
- Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
You should be a qualified Chartered Accountant, preferably CIMA although ACCA will be considered, alternatively should be QBE with an appropriate degree. You will have proven track record in Finance Control/Accounting with a minimum of 5 years' experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. You have a strong knowledge and understanding of costs and variances analysis, financial control, reporting, and manufacturing accounting. You enjoy working to tight deadlines in a complex and demanding environment. You possess a comprehensive proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with a sound knowledge of Finance ERP (Onestream) and SAP Systems. You are an effective communicator with good interpersonal and leadership skills at all levels both internally and externally. You have excellent verbal and writing skills.
