Full Job Description
We are looking to offer a Plant Fitter the opportunity to join our expanding Plant & Fleet Transport Operations team based in Castleford . About the team With 8 depots across the UK, M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions provide innovative plant and fleet asset management solutions across M Group Services. We provide our business with more than 9,000 vehicles and over 25,000 owned or externally hired plant assets. Our team we are responsible for the supply and management of Plant, specialist equipment and vehicles, supplying the Water, Energy, Transport, Data and Telecommunication sectors.,
- Carry out routine maintenance and service repair activities to our fleet of Plant vehicles & equipment
- Faults diagnose and rectify all types of mechanical and electrical faults
- Complete work via a PDA device to ensure daily electronic work records are up to date
- Undertake minor and major repair works as directed
- Communicate with the workshop team
- Ensure that all M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) policies and procedures are adhered to, adopting a safe method of working, logging and completing jobs on your electronic devices
We're looking for people who are self-motivated, flexible, effective communicators who pride themselves in working to high-standards to provide high-levels of customer service. You will hold a recognised apprenticeship or relevant qualifications in engineering either working with LCV's, HGV's or Plant equipment are preferred. Ideally you will be experienced in LCV, Construction plant, material handling or ancillary equipment. You will be conversant with a range of disciplines along with strong diagnostic and electrical systems capabilities., - Fully qualified plant technician to a minimum of NVQ2 or equivalent through a recognised training scheme
- Experience of working on plant
- Competent use of company IT and diagnostic tooling
- Driving Licence - essential
- Forklift Licence - Training will be given
- General plant electrics knowledge is desirable
