Full Job Description
As a Plant Operator at Veolia WTS, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and operating our advanced water treatment equipment. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be paramount as you manage chemical deliveries and contribute to our robust Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) framework. You'll be responsible for overseeing the quality control of MF equipment and ancillary systems, ensuring they meet our stringent standards. Your role will also involve active participation in our EHS compliance calendar tasks, demonstrating your dedication to creating a safe and sustainable work environment. What are the Day-to-Day Duties?
- Ensure quality control of MF equipment and ancillary equipment
- Receive and manage chemical deliveries with strict adherence to safety protocols
- Participate actively in the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Framework
- Manage EHS compliance calendar tasks
- Complete online training and participate in external training programs
- Input ATS and Concern reporting on a monthly basis
- Contribute to department housekeeping
- Operate forklifts, combi lifts, shunter trucks, and electric pallet trucks
- Conduct monthly fire inspections as a certified Fire Marshal
- Provide first aid support when necessary
Proven experience in plant operations, preferably in water treatment - Certifications in forklift, combi lift, shunter truck, and electric pallet truck operation
- Fire Marshal certification
- First Aid and Mental Health First Aid certifications (preferred)
- Good standard of general education or industry experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
- Excellent safety awareness and adherence to protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Willingness to engage in continuous learning and professional development, What Skills and Experience Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
- Proven experience in plant operations, preferably in water treatment
