Full Job Description

This role is based at the following site; Culham, Oxfordshire. This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions. The Role Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference? Join our team and contribute to the future of fusion energy. As Plasma Exhaust Physicist you will play a pivotal role in performing experimental data analysis, including supporting modelling, to understand plasma exhaust detachment and the resulting divertor power loads. This will include the analysis of MAST-U divertor spectroscopy and imaging systems, both for your own research and in support of the wider programme. You will also be encouraged to propose and lead research on MAST-U and other international devices. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Report results at science and other regular progress meetings.
