Full Job Description

The Plastic Surgery Specialist Nurse is required to have a good knowledge of wound care to facilitate assessment, management and implementation of care for complex wounds within Plastic Surgery.
The Plastic Surgery Specialist Nurse will assist the ACP for Plastic Surgery with the day to day running and development of the Plastic Surgery nursing service.
This role includes delivery of education and participation in ward rounds to ensure continuity of care for patients on the plastic surgery wards, dressings clinic and satellite areas including trauma and orthopaedics and dermatology.
The Plastic Surgery Specialist Nurse is required to support/lead on product evaluations relevant to the speciality in collaboration with the Tissue Viability team and the production and implementation of new pathways/guidelines.
The Plastic Surgery Specialist Nurse will work autonomously within an agreed scope of practice.
