Lancaster City Council is currently seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and enthusiastic individual to join the busy event event management team at The Platform Live Entertainment venue in Morecambe, and where necessary to support events, at other Council venues, including facilitating, supporting and delivering a comprehensive programme of events indoors and outdoors, safely and successfully.

Experience in contributing to managing an entertainment venue, dealing with artists and supervising/directing staff is essential and you must also have the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative, prioritise tasks and move and set up equipment.

We are looking for someone with knowledge of event logistics and it would be desirable if you had basic knowledge of sound and lighting equipment.

The post holder may also be requested to work at other Council commercial properties, as well as supporting the delivery of the Councils outdoor events programme.

Essential skills required or agreement to work towards in post -

First aid at work
Personal licence holder
As part of your role, you will be a key holder with responsibility of staff supervision whilst you are on shift, including a small team of event stewards, bar staff, box office operator, and volunteers., Disability Confident

This post is temporary for 12 months and the hours of work are 28 per week working four days out of seven. You will be expected to work over Bank Holidays, evenings and weekends.
