Full Job Description

Hours: 1.5 hours per day (7.5 hours per week)/Working 38 weeks per year (not including inset days) Paid for 43.7 weeks per year (inclusive of 5.7 weeks paid annual leave), During our school at lunchtimes we run an exciting play project called OPAL and we now need four additional members to join our lunchtime team and support this initiative. Do you support the right for children to have high quality playtimes? Are you approachable and able to work as part of a team? Would you be able to encourage pupil engagement and foster good behaviour? If the answer is yes, you could be one of the people we are looking for to join our experienced team of lunchtime staff. This key role would be:

  • To support the development of the play environment
  • To support communication on play to the whole school community
  • To support effective risk management in play
  • To develop effective playwork practice within the play team.
  • To support the provision and maintenance of loose parts and play resources
  • To report to the Curriculum lead for Play
