Playground Area Inspector

Grounds maintenance provides an essential service in ensuring the County delivers its aspirations of providing an environment which is safe, clean and sustainable.

The playground inspector will be predominantely working alone, inspecting and reporting defects, this is undertaken predominantly by use of an electronic play inspection app. There will also be a requirement to undertake repairs and replacement of parts to the Councils and also other external clients play facilities, skateboard parks and life saving equipment of which are collectively in excess of 140no this to ensure that the facilities are safe for use. The number of the facilities can vary annually with some new facilities being adopted by the council and some reducing due to change of use. The candidate would ideally be aware of the contents of BSEN 1176 (parts 1-7) standards/legislation for play areas, and be ROSPA accredited. (Training can be provided if required).
