Full Job Description

You will be responsible leading a team of plumbers, using computer-based work taskmanagement software to input work requests, close out work requests, and pull work requestreports. You will be planning and accomplishing work from initial layout to final assembly whichinvolves interpreting and applying building plans, specifications, blueprints, sketches and otherplumbing guides/codes and using shop mathematics. This position will also be responsible fortroubleshooting/testing various plumbing systems and equipment including backflow preventiondevices such as reduced pressure principle devices, double checking devices, atmosphericvacuum breakers and other cross connection devices, whilst utilizing safety practices andprocedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and cleanworking environment.

The successful applicant will be expected to have knowledge of and experience in equipmentassembly, installation, operation and repair, to include routing, placement, slant, slope, and fallout systems; and of technical practices to plan, lay out, install, modify, troubleshoot, and repairvarious systems and equipment. You will also have knowledge and experience applying safetyregulations, procedures and practices. We are looking for an individual with skills in installing,modifying, and repairing new and existing utility, supply, and disposal systems and equipmentwithout more then normal supervision, along with skills in using and maintaining tools andequipment such as rules, levels, plumb bobs, dividers, various gauges and meters, various draincleaning devices, hydrostatic pumps and torches. You will possess the ability to use shopmathematics, take measurements, and lay out anles, arcs and circles., You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicableUS and UK laws, rules and regulations. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilianaircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance ofofficial duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential.You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period. Overtime may be required, andyou may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriateto the grade and skill set of the incumbent. You must be able to communicate effectively bothorally and in writing. The work may require you to drive a motor vehicle. A valid UK driver'slicense may be required for the position. The Local National Direct Hire (LNDH) Program doesnot participate in regular drug testing, however positions covered by this SCPD may be subjectto drug testing upon reasonable suspicion of substance abuse, and safety mishap or accidenttesting.All successful applicants will require a security clearance and a right to work in the UK.
