Full Job Description

We are looking for a fully qualified and experienced individual to support the Mechanical Lead in overseeing a team of Plumbing and Air Conditioning Engineers on a mobile basis across a range of sites within the Hinkley Point C contract. Ensuring that the team of engineers complete all PPM and reactive maintenance activities in a timely manner, in line with contract SLAs and statutory compliance. A fully qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer with AC and Plumbing experience is necessary.

This role will include being part of an on call rota, for which pay enhancements are applied for the weeks you are on call (1 in 12)

Responsibilities

Lead a team of Plumbers, carrying out set to works, permit to works where necessary and supervise with reactive, PPM and minor project tasks.
Quality check and sign off on minor installation works
Keep LRA current and in-date and audit log books with the plumbing team.
Help formulate quotes to upgrade existing systems and equipment that are at capacity as well as to install on new minor works projects.
Carry out H&S checks on the team and working environment.
Liaise with specialist sub-contractors and set to works to enable servicing
Operate planned maintenance procedures for assets effectively and safely within their range of qualifications, training and experience.
Deal effectively and safely with breakdowns and damage to assets within their range of qualifications, training and experience as required and by out of hours response where necessary.
Write up reports and technical procedures for Building Maintenance Activities.
Assist in the training and development of other maintenance/technical staff involved in site maintenance activities.
Follow detailed drawings and operational maintenance manuals in order to carry out all planned maintenance, routine inspections and repairs.
Work with other craft qualified, semi-skilled and non-skilled maintenance staff to develop cross-skilling and cover all levels and aspects of maintenance activities on a team work basis.
Participate in emergency call out arrangements in respect of Integrated Facilities Management Systems on the maintained sites.

Fully qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer with Plumbing experience
Experience of building and facilities maintenance
C&G NVQ level 2 in Plumbing, or equivalent
Full, clean driving licence

Desirable

Dual skilled in HVAC and Plumbing discipline
