I am lady in my 30's living in the Porth area with my husband, 3 children and my dog. I have Friedreich's Ataxia. It is a rare, inherited, degenerative disease. It damages the spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and the cerebellum portion of the brain. When I am tired my speech and hearing is not as clear. I was born with the condition, but was not diagnosed until I was 10 and my condition has worsened over time. I have been a wheelchair user since I was 17. I enjoy going shopping to the cinema and out for food.
