What you'll do As the PMO Analyst you will work as part of the PMO Management Group to deliver the PMO Strategy providing governance services to the whole of ITS. You may line manage up to 2 Project Support/Collaboration Centre Support staff. These services should help ITS make the work being undertaken more visible, allow it to track its delivery, and assess its health and value. Using your coaching, training and communication skills you will support more junior members of the PMO deliver these objectives and also work alongside the rest of ITS. Previous experience in PMO/PSO based roles and excellent communication skills is essential for this role. What you'll be responsible for
- Training & Coaching - Training and coaching of Project Support Officers or Collaboration Centre Support Officers to ensure development of staff to provide a consistent level of support to work areas across ITS (Potential Line Management responsibilities). Supporting Project managers and Technical Delivery Leads.
- PMO Services, Processes & Guidance - Be versed in, and champion all ITS PMO processes and guidance. Own allocated PMO services ensuring they are developed, documented, reportable, maintained and administered as well as considering their continuous improvement. Continually review processes and delivery value adding continuous improvement activities.
- Good Governance Standards - Work with ITS Staff to ensure appropriate governance standards are maintained across the department and provide guidance and assistance to improve and support areas when required.
- Project Assurance - Healthchecks & Gateways - Administer or contribute to Healthcheck and Gateways pertaining to the PMO services, providing an assessment on the health of a work area within ITS. Articulating any risk of project/programme/portfolio delivery.
- Tools & Reporting - Consider how PMO governance processes can be reported, ensuring ease of data capture, collection of Portfolio level data, data structure and tools for reporting Who you'll work with Internal

- Project Support Officers/Collaboration Centre Support officers, This is a part time hybrid role working 2/2.5 days a week. The successful candidate will be required 1-2 days a week in the office, but can increase due to business demand. Working hours/days to be discussed at interview/offer stage.
- Prince2 Practitioner / Agile/Scrum/ or PMO related certification/experience
- Previous Project/PMO Analysis experience using PMI/PRINCE2 or other structured project delivery methodology essential
- Experience of implementing and maintaining governance processes within an established Programme/Portfolio team
- Significant experience of using software tools to plan and track work activities (MS Project Plans, MS Roadmaps, Backlogs, Azure DevOps)
- Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to facilitate workshops.
