We are looking for a resilient and dynamic individual to join us as PMO Manager. The new PMO Manager will own and deliver the PMO Internal & External Services within the standard framework, ensuring that the Projects and Programmes delivers to NHS SBS time, cost, quality and revenue specifications.

What you'll be doing:

  • Proven PMO management experience within a complex business environment, preferably within an IT PMO.

  • Exceptional business relationship and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to quickly build meaningful relationships, with strong influencing skills across all organisation levels.

  • Manage the establishment of key programme governance processes, including plan management, RAIDD management, change control, document management

  • Produce accurate forecasts of future support office performance and report on variance against forecast.

  • Deliver PMO services in accordance with agreed scope, acceptance criteria, time, financial and quality measures, ensuring all deliverables are in line with contractual arrangements set up with external clients.

  • Ensures that delivery methods and tools are used in a manner consistent with the project environment.

  • Provide management services to support project/service delivery. This may include but is not limited to: compilation of budget and forecast figures; capability planning; achievement/delivery planning.


  • What you'll bring:
  • Recent and proven experience of Programme / Project Management with a track record of delivering to required standards.

  • Excellent attention to detail and quality, ensuring accuracy and quality in all activities.

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products, IT project lifecycles, methodologies and experience with PPM Tools.

  • Resource demand capacity management experience

  • Confident writing processes & governance

  • Line management experience

  • Commercial / Contract experience


  • It would be great if you had:
  • Relevant sector experience

  • Recognised industry standard qualifications - P30, Prince 2, MoP.
