Full Job Description
- The Tooling Manager will support the delivery of the PPM Tooling Strategy (comprising Clarity, Jira and Asana tools)
- You'll work as part of a team to proactively engage with business stakeholders to gather, specify and validate requirements for changes to Clarity, Jira and Asana and add to the consolidated PPM Tooling Development Roadmap and Backlog
- You'll have excellent knowledge of PPM systems and other digital tools related to transformation and project management WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Support Product Owner to engage with stakeholders, understand objectives and translate these into clearly defined functional requirements using the agreed Change Request template
- Define requirements to meet business objectives while making best use of existing Clarity configuration
- Ensure that requirements are captured accurately and in the required format
- Review Jira items with developers to check they meet business requirements
- Conduct or supervise structured testing of functional Jira items to ensure they are fit for purpose and record test results
- Where appropriate for larger changes, organise UAT with user representative
- Document functional designs where needed to augment Jira requirement descriptions
- Work closely with Group Functions representatives (e.g. HR/Finance) to review process and tooling interfaces and agree change
- Resolve user queries relating to Clarity implementation of business processes
- Manage changes to Clarity static data (such as resource details, organisational hierarchies) following the project processes
- Lead or support reviews of project data for quality checking purposes
- Conduct reviews to assure that business processes meet audit requirements
- Identify opportunities for automating manual processes
- Assist with the facilitation of team and stakeholder engagements
- Contribute to project stakeholder identification and communication planning
Good familiarity with the functional aspects of PPM applications - minimum of three years' experience - Strong Business Analysis skills - requirements management, testing, process description
- Good understanding of project processes: milestones, cost plans, forecast vs actuals, reporting
- Proficiency in designing and documenting business process flows
- Experience of transferring project data between Finance and HR systems
- Willingness and ability to challenge stakeholders diplomatically to better understand their needs
- Ability to communicate well with both business users and Clarity developers, acting as a communication bridge
- Strong documentation skills: able to convey complex concepts effectively in documents Preferred
- Strong experience of using Clarity
- Recognised Business Analysis (BA) qualification
- Experience and knowledge of large scale, global, change programmes and portfolio management
- Experience in large investment banking or financial services organisations
- Educated to degree level or equivalent Key Behaviours
