Full Job Description

The successful candidate will undertake covert, mobile, technical and foot surveillance in order to obtain intelligence and evidence, undertaking covert surveillance as authorised under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 and Human Rights legislation. The successful candidate will also be willing to undergo a firearms course, in order for them to conduct the role of an Armed Surveillance motorcyclist in the future. The role holder will also debrief covert surveillance operations on a daily basis ensuring evidential logs are accurate., if you have any queries relating to this.

  • Kent Officers will need to inform Kent HR Resource Planning at the earliest opportunity of intention to apply.     This role comes with role-related bonuses for being a motorcycle surveillance officer paying £2,000 per annum. There is a further role-related bonus of £2,000 per annum available for firearms officers should the successful candidate become an Armed Surveillance Motorcyclist in future. The successful candidate will demonstrate;
  • Evidence of conducting both mobile and foot surveillance. The mobile aspect will evidence both within a car and upon a motorbike
  • Evidence of having completed surveillance logs to a national standard, as well as knowledge of disclosure
  • The ability to work under pressure and demonstrate flexibility within your role, with effective team working skills
