Full Job Description

Delivering core policing duties and the skills and tactics commensurate with the ARV role profile, in accordance with Authorised Professional Practice, Armed Policing. (Gatwick only) Conducting high profile armed patrols of Gatwick Airport in response to the current threat to a key part of the UK's Critical National Infrastructure.

Operations Command are seeking to recruit Police Officers from Home Office forces who are currently qualified as ARV or who have been ARV qualified in the last three years. Operations Command works across Surrey and Sussex delivering a service to both forces.   • Essential Skills to include ARV Role profile holder or have been within the last 12 months.
  • Advanced Driver.
  • Desirable Skills to include Operational Firearms Commander and/or Tactical Advisor operational accreditation, National Firearms Instructor, Drone Operator, Discrete ARV (plain clothes) trained.

    National salary plus regional allowance (£3000 Surrey, £2000 Sussex)
