Full Job Description
This is a key role within the Corporate HR Team, leading the delivery of a number of our People Plan / Workforce Strategy priorities and workstreams including:
- initiatives and projects which develop and embed our people priorities: recruitment and retention, digital/data and flexible working, generating creative solutions and improvements/enhancements.
- managing projects from initiation to implementation, exploring the possible with a 'can do' attitude.
- using data to inform the development of plans/strategies.
- provision of strategic policy and employment law advice, including supporting with policy and strategy implementation This is a fast-paced area of work, where teamwork and collaboration are key, and ambition and learning is encouraged! The role affords the opportunity to think 'outside the box' and explore creative solutions., This is a fixed term role until 31st December 2025, full time (37 hours) role. We're looking for someone who's innovative and progressive in their thinking, with a passion to drive forward the people/workforce strategy. You'll have experience of managing staff and projects, working independently and with stakeholders / partners to deliver timely and effective results. Experience of working in the HR field with an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of employment law and project management is key, alongside excellent communication and IT skills. The successful candidate will be ambitious for the service, able to think outside the box and push the boundaries, encouraging innovation and challenge to drive forward change, redefining the norm., 1. Your working experience to date, including experience within HR and, if applicable, local government. 2. Your project management experience, including how you've used using data and research to identify and implement solutions. 3. How you keep up to date with employment law changes.
