Full Job Description
This role is key to delivering a Corporate Strategy project that is central to the future of the planning profession for years to come. The work is part of the Institute's drive to open access to an exciting career in planning and sustainable development. Reporting to the Head of Education, you will support the roll-out of our 'initial planning education' policy. This will include reviewing data and other information including feedback from planning practitioners and universities on the impacts and opportunities for the recognition of academic qualifications; and supporting the implementation of improvements to procedures. You will also support the quality assurance processes we have in place and support the provision of advice and guidance to students.
Experience and skills required include: organising and prioritising work effectively, attention to detail and a high level of accuracy including analytical skills, and a good understanding of higher education. Prior experience of working in a professional membership organisation, university or accreditation body would be desirable.
The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) champions the power of planning in creating prosperous places and vibrant communities. We represent over 27,000 members worldwide, supporting them throughout their careers. We shape planning policy, raise professional standards, and are the only body in the UK to confer Chartered status to planners, the highest professional qualification.
