Full Job Description

A vacancy has arisen for a permanent Policy and Research Advisor in the Strategic Partnerships Team, within the Strategy, Equality and Partnerships Directorate. This is an opportunity to join a developing team which is carrying out ground-breaking and important work and making an important contribution to the council's improvement priorities. The team is responsible for managing some corporate strategic partnerships as well as for driving the improvement of partnership working across the organisation. This involves stakeholder relationship management and external affairs, developing expertise on good partnership working, carrying out research on key stakeholders and their perceptions of the council and providing briefings and policy advice to senior leaders. The post provides the opportunity to engage with colleagues across a diverse range of service areas as well as important external stakeholders and partners. Using the skills in policy analysis and research and the knowledge of local government and its policy environment that you have already developed, this post will give you the opportunity to learn about partnership working and the work of a diverse range of services and stakeholders whilst making an important contribution to the council's improvement journey.
