Pond Technician

The Technician will be responsible for the construction, maintenance and upkeep of client ponds and water features predominantly in and around Bedfordshire Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.,

• Maintain ponds by performing routine maintenance such as pond cleans
• Maintain and repair equipment such as pond filters and pumps
• Construct ponds and water features to agreed specifications
• Ensuring vehicle is always well stocked and equiped
• Cleaning pond equipment used in the job (i.e. pond nets/tanks and the like) to prevent cross contamination between jobs
  
  The position is a hands-on position that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a clean and organised work environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision, demonstrate initiative and possess the ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines., Must have a full valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and with others
• Must be able to lift up to 25 kilos, bend, squat, stand, walk, reach, climb stairs and ladders as needed
• Must be able to follow directions and safety guidelines (including bio-safety) and exercise good common sense
• Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions (summer and winter months)
• Must be flexible on hours as there is more demand in the industry during spring/summer months
• Must be polite, professional and willing to meet customers expectations
• Interest in aquatics/fish keeping and wildlife would be beneficial
