Full Job Description

As a Porter, your responsibilities will vary. You will:

  • Provide a high standard of portering services and housekeeping, escorting visitors and contractors into and around the prison

  • Deal with patients, healthcare colleagues and other professionals over the phone and face to face

  • Carry out basic admin tasks, including answering calls, scanning, delivering post etc

  • Deliver a tidy healthcare area, monitoring and ordering stock as necessary, paying attention to expiry dates and cost of equipment

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Porter to join the team at HMP Lancaster Farms, a Category C male prison on the outskirts of Lancaster. HMP Lancaster Farms has operational capacity of around 550, and has good transport links from the motorway, and is close to public transport routes.,

  • Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.

Hours: This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week. Shifts are Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00. Salary: This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £26,145 per annum - depending on experience., It doesnt stop there we also offer:
