Full Job Description

To provide a high quality, prompt and efficient Porter service to patients, staff and visitors and to undertake the movement of patients, equipment, documentation, food etc. in an efficient and safe manner.

Maintain clean and safe equipment and environment in accordance with the Porter SLA (Service Level Agreement), be responsive to service needs as they arise and constantly seek to improve the productivity and quality of the service. Undertake necessary duties to ensure maintenance of an efficient Porter Service in both patient and non-patient environments.

Ensure personal conduct is of the highest standard at all times while on the hospital premises, exhibiting courtesy and efficiency to patients, visitors and users of the service at all times.

All work must be undertaken in line with health, safety, security and Trust policies and procedures including infection control. When required, you may need to assist with the emergency and evacuation procedures e.g., major incidents/alerts systems, bomb alerts and fire procedures in accordance with Trust policy.

The post holder will need to be fully aware of the Trust's Values and Behaviours initiative and act accordingly.
