Porter / Cleaning Operative

We are currently recruiting for a Part Time Porter/Cleaning Operative to join the new store team based at our TJ Hughes Warrington store. This role is for 6 hours per week, which is typically worked as a 2 hour shift over any 3 days out of Sunday to Saturday. Job Role To provide a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the store. Responsibilities

• Empty and wash out waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated area/collection points.
• Sweeping floors with brushes or dust control mops.
• Wash floor in toilets and kitchen area.
• Wipe around surface in kitchen area.
• Fill and empty dishwashers.
• To clean toilets, urinals and hand basins.
• Vacuum carpets.
• Using electrically powered scrubbing and polishing machines to burnish, scrub, polish and spray clean floors.
• To replenish consumable items such as soap, toilet rolls, paper towels.
• Porterage of any items for the use of job role such as vacuum cleaners, items of cleaning equipment.
• Keep a check on cleaning materials and re-order via the Manager.
• To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job.
  
  Proven working experience as a Cleaner preferably, but not essential
• Effective time management skills
• Ability to work autonomously
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Flexibility with regards to working hours
