Porter-DEF Academy Services

Serco is contracted to provide a Logistics Porter to the Defence Academy of the UK (DA). This prestigious establishment is responsible for post-graduate education and most of the command, staff, leadership, Defence management, acquisition, and technology training for members of the UK Armed Forces and MOD Civil Servants. Serco supports the DA as the MOD's primary link with UK universities and international military educational institutions.

Serco have an exciting new role as a Logistics Porter at the Defence Academy. You will Provide porter service on request for the movement of equipment and goods within the confines of the campus during normal working hours, in support of the defence Academy of the United Kingdom and Serco.,

• General portage tasking as required.


• The Movement, setting up and return of equipment used at instructional venues.


• Movement of stores, furniture and equipment as required.


• Clearance of waste materials as required.


• Assist reprographics staff with JSCSC/DA course material delivery as required.


• Receive, check, record and delivery goods received.


• Reconfiguration of teaching facilities.


• Movement of furniture associated with Churn tasking., 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and the chance to purchase additional days.
