Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Porters Lodge at Reuben College, part of Oxford University. Established in 2019, the College is situated in a prime location at the heart of Oxford, adjacent to the Museum of Natural History, within a beautifully refurbished historic building.
The Porters Lodge serves as the central hub of the College, providing a high standard of communication, appearance, and professionalism to all students, staff, and visitors. Key responsibilities include ensuring the safety and security of the College premises, responding to fire alarms, administering first aid, and offering a welcoming and positive reception to everyone who comes through the Lodge.

  • Office skills: Proficient in general office and computer skills, including Microsoft Office

    Please be aware, the University has introduced a pensionable Oxford University Weighting of £1,500 a year (pro rata) for all staff on grades 1-10 of the main salary and grading structure which will be implemented in the September 2024 payroll and backdated to 1 August 2024. The hours are Monday to Friday from 14:30 to 22:00, with every third week being Monday to Thursday from 14:30 to 22:00 and Sunday from 10:00 to 22:00.
