Full Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen within Facilities Portering Department at Royal Glamorgan Hospital to recruit Porter Security trained staff. The role will cover the full range of Porter based duties within the hospital environment alongside supporting security based duties and the prevention of violence and aggression. The role will be 24/7 provision with a working rota., The post will support the following duties; Contribute to the provision of healthcare for the Cwm Taf University Health Board (CTUHB) by delivering a porter service which meets all organisational and legislative standards and support the Facilities Unit commitment to a safety and quality framework. Support the Porter Services Supervisor and Porter Team Leader in supervising the provision of Porter and Security services delivery that are managed from a Facilities Security Control Centre based at the hospital and ensuring a high quality service is delivered to patients, staff and visitors in accordance with service specifications. Post holder will be required to perform supplementary duties to respond to service needs and that are appropriate to the Facilities services and in line with their grade.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
