Portering Chargehand

Supervision of the day-to-day operation of Portering, Waste & Linen Services, ensuring quality services are delivered in compliance with relevant service specification and key performance indicators.

Ensure the continuous delivery of services and respond to service failures in a timely manner.

To act as a key contact for all daily operational issues, concerns and service failures, responding to and resolving such issues in a professional and timely manner.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for enthusiastic applicants to come and join our hard working Portering team.

The successful candidate will provide a wide range of portering duties generally created by the demands of the hospital, which involves the movement of patients and items to provide the best possible service. The role of the Charge hand is to ensure the smooth running of the department and the supervision/safety of the staff members. To provide guidance and motivation to Staff and to ensure that portering targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are met.
