Are you looking for a part time job or looking for a stepping stone into full time work? We think this role would suit either as currently this is a part time role but it also offers additional hours covering holiday in the portering and Housekeeping departments Come and join our team working for the NHS with good rates of pay including weekend enhancements along with holiday pay and pension system. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our small team of Porters and Housekeepers in Haslemere Hospital. Our Portering Housekeeping service provides a high standard of cleanliness across the hospital in line with the National Specification for Cleanliness in Hospitals. Your role will also be responsible for patient movement, removal of waste, stores and assisting with movement of furniture in clinical and office areas assist with the cleaning of departments and ward areas, to meet the needs of patients., We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our small team of Porters and Housekeepers. Our Portering Housekeeping service provides a high standard of cleanliness across the hospital in line with the National Specification for Cleanliness in Hospitals. Your role will also be responsible for patient movement, removal of waste, stores and assisting with movement of furniture in clinical and office areas assist with the cleaning of departments and ward areas, to meet the needs of patients., To provide a clean and safe environment through the delivery of a quality cleaning and food and beverage services, in compliance with the Trust procedures and policies. To actively promote good communication links and customer service between Hotel Services and staff, patients and visitors.

The successful candidates will have experience of working with people in a healthcare environment, portering, cleaning, beverage and meals serving, storing cleaning products, be patient focused, possess high cleaning standards, have excellent communication skills, and have a flexible and adaptable approach and work well within a team. Ideally you will have worked in a patient environment and possess good inter-personal skills with patients and relatives., Essential

  • Good basic education - reading and writing, plus basic numeric skills.
  • Knowledge of various cleaning tasks and the ability to perform manual cleaning tasks.
  • Experience of a healthcare environment
