Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Portfolio Analyst who can:
+ analyse a range of information sources through engagement with an array of CCS stakeholders and directorates
+ gather, analyse and produce informed insights in variable formats
+ support IAT in prioritisation activities to enable decisions to be made to effectively allocate key resources across the CCS portfolio
Directorate Overview
The Financial, Planning and Performance (FPP) directorate are responsible for the planning, reporting and financial wellbeing of CCS. This includes:
+ budgets and financial reporting
+ strategy and business planning
+ supplier and project assurance
+ performance reporting
+ risk management
The Finance team develop and manage all financial reporting. We work closely with different departments to develop budgets, projections and business plans related to money and finances.
The Planning Performance and Risk team develops our business plan, tracks its implementation, measures business success and holds the business to account. The team is responsible for increasing the management capability of corporate risk through review and assurance.
Team Summary
The Investment Assurance Team (IAT) is a small team of 5 which maintains a single view of strategic change across CCS to ensure that all programmes are working towards delivery of the CCS corporate objectives.
The team ensures that the delivery and impact of change across the organisation as a whole is managed effectively. Change can impact people, processes and/or systems, it is therefore critical that the IAT ensures that change is managed in a consistent way across the organisation., + Work with the business to identify and categorise new projects onto the Investment & Change portfolio.
+ Support the IAT Lead to communicate and build commitment to a shared vision and sense of purpose of the IAT team and effective change management.
+ Support IAT in the collation,prioritisation and presentation of PVOC Quarterly Review
+ Build a delivery plan and apply appropriate project management principles to the delivery of the Management of Change initiative in line with stated objectives. Identify and set appropriate controls and track and report delivery against milestones.
+ Work in collaboration with the Project Management Office (PMO) to roll up reporting from projects to a portfolio level and provide analysis of performance for reporting purposes to Executive Board and CCS Board (as necessary) including:
-Alignment with finance colleagues to ensure the financial state of the portfolio is tracked and monitored.
-Identifying and monitoring portfolio risks (threats and opportunities) and escalating as appropriate via the IAT Dashboard.
-Ownership of the Investment & Change Portfolio Dashboard and reporting upwards into the CCS Corporate Dashboard;
-Ownership of the IAT Book of Work.
+ Maintain the Investment & Change critical path including the tracking of dependencies across the portfolio.
+ Support the Business Case Manager and Business Change Managers with developing mechanisms for measuring and tracking realisation of benefits across the investment and change portfolio
+ Act as point of contact for the CCS Governance Team and corporate reporting., Please note: Applicants can make use of artificial intelligence but the information presented at application must be factual.

Successful candidates are expected to work from one of the office locations listed. Our current office attendance approach requires a minimum of 26 days per quarter (approx 2 days per week, which may be subject to change) in CCS office locations or off site meetings with suppliers, customers, partners, networking / industry events.
