Full Job Description

Benchmark Capital is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to oversee and facilitate our dynamic change programme. In this role, you will not only maximise the throughput and value of the change programme, but you'll also shape and manage the change framework, and work closely with various business areas to deliver a robust roadmap of change.,

  • Facilitate overall change framework, from initiation to review, while ensuring all initiatives are appropriately resourced.
  • Collaborate with the wider Portfolio Management Team to maintain accurate information on our Change Framework tool, KeyedIn.
  • Lead the prioritisation and impact assessment for new projects and features, acting as a gatekeeper for delivery.
  • Monitor capacity & potential bottlenecks with value streams & business functions.
  • Develop an insightful view across the portfolio for key risks, dependencies & issues.
  • Coordinate the financial status of the portfolio, translating findings into implications for the Portfolio.
  • Contribute to management reporting on the Portfolio, including reporting into the wider Schroders Group.

    Degree or equivalent in business management.
  • Experience in facilitating portfolios with a lean, agile mindset.
  • Strong familiarity with the principles, tools and techniques of lean portfolio management.
  • Proven track record of managing complex project environments.
  • Confidence to advise and challenge decisions, influence at senior management level and manage under pressure.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills.
  • Solid experience in budget management.
  • Competence in communicating complex information in a compelling narrative.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Power Point - and MS Project or equivalent.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry.
  • Background in management consulting.
  • Understanding of SAFe Agile / Agile working methods.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies - Prince2, PMP, Lean, Six Sigma approaches.
  • Experience in project budgeting and financial management.
