All staff within the team receive regular supervision.
Sirona Adult Learning Disability Health Service
The Sirona Adult Learning Disability Health (ALDH) Service is a centre of excellence for specialist learning disability health needs. We cover 3 localities where multidisciplinary teams enable our service users to access health services through direct care, liaison with other services and offering support and training on how to work with people who have a learning disability and how to make reasonable adjustments. The service prides itself on delivering high quality support to service users with a variety of physical and mental health issues alongside their Learning Disability. All staff are required to use a range of communication and listening skills to work effectively with our service users. Where necessary you will be required to work at other bases or work remotely from home., The post holder will complete functional behaviour and other profession specific assessments, analysing this information to work in partnership with service users and their support networks to develop a positive behaviour support plan. You will support the implementation and understanding of these plans through role modelling and developing bespoke workshops and training. You will be an autonomous practitioner, managing a complex caseload which will include supporting service users on the Care Programme Approach framework and care-coordination. You will work as part of the wider multidisciplinary team, liaising with relevant professionals, carers, agencies and providers. You will support students on placement within the team and will have opportunity to clinically supervise others and develop your management skills and experience. Regular Clinical and Managerial Supervision will be provided as well as support to further develop your skills through continuing professional
development.
