Full Job Description

We are looking to appoint one full-time fixed term post of a Senior Clinical Fellow for a fixed term of of 3 years with the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. The appointee will provide intermediate grade support to the neuromuscular consultant neurologist and the team appropriate to his/her level of experience. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a special interest in neuromuscular disorders., Please refer to the supporting job description and person specification which will outline the duties of the role including an indicative job plan.

The successful applicant will undertake three outpatient clinics per week and will participate in the delivery of clinical trials within the neuromuscular .

A medical degree or a diploma from a recognised UK or overseas university or institution or equivalent is essential and candidates must have clinical training and experience near or equivalent to that required for gaining CCT in Neurology. The post does not award a National Training Number. As this post is not recognised as a 'training post', full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise is required, and if the appointee does not hold right of residence in the UK sponsorship will be required. The post is at the level of a speciality registrar (ST6 +) or post CCT level.
