Full Job Description

This is a whole-time fixed term post for an initial period of 12 months with an option to extend for a further 12 months, with the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital., Please refer to the supporting job description and person specification which will outline the duties of the role including an indicative job plan.

A medical degree from a recognised UK or overseas university is essential. Candidates should have prior training in Ophthalmology and experience in research . Prior experience in Ocular Oncology is desirable.

The post does not award a National Training Number. As this post is not recognised as a 'training post', full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise is required, and if the appointee does not hold right of residence in the UK sponsorship will be required.

Applicants should be ST5-ST7 or equivalent at the time of interview.
