Full Job Description

An exciting new position for an assistant practitioner has arisen to join the South West Post Covid Assessment Service, covering Wandsworth and Merton, working alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic and coordinated care to patients. The post-holder will join the team based at Battersea Studios (SW8), to support community patients with post-covid-19 syndrome. You will be supported by highly specialist physiotherapist and occupational therapists in your clinical and professional development.
The team has established links with IAPT, community providers as well as community and voluntary sector resources. Prior experience is not required; we are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic, flexible and a have desire to learn. The post-holder will be supported to gain the skills and confidence to assist in patient triage and assessment. In conjunction with the team, they will help coordinate care, case manage selected patients and provide specialist treatment., As an Assistant Practitioner within the Post-Covid Assessment Service you will get the chance to work with and under guidance of a qualified Allied Health Professional (AHP) supporting service users, their families, friends and carers. You will undoubtedly play an important role in how they experience our service., Interview arrangements will be communicated via email so please check your email regularly following the closing date.

You may often work independently to follow treatment plans or provide support in using the Living with Covid app as well as other digital technology - so if you have good IT skills this could be the job for you! Being motivated is a plus as it will help you to deliver the patient's goals to a high standard. Communicating to patients and stakeholders will be a significant part of the role including administrative responsibilities such as patient bookings, creating letters/emails as well as being part of the organisational team in setting up group-based interventions for patients.

We are looking to recruit 2 x Full-Time, Band 4 Assistant Practitioners. The main base will be Battersea Studios, SW8, with options available for hybrid working. The service operates between the hours of 9.00-17.00 Monday - Friday.
