Full Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Dynamic Robot Systems Group, part of Oxford Robotics Institute, at the Department of Engineering Science (central Oxford). The post is funded by the EPSRC and Horizon Europe and is fixed-term to 31 December 2025.

This role provides the opportunity to develop efficient and robust methods for 3D multi-sensor mapping and reconstruction to unlock the next generation of robotic sensing systems. You will be responsible for writing reusable code, documenting your progress and testing your methods on real-world datasets. You will also interact with a team of collaborating students and researchers in ORI on related projects.
You should possess a PhD or DPhil (or be near to completion) in Robotics or Computer Vision. You should have knowledge of approaches for areas related to multi-sensor 3D mapping including SLAM, neural radiance fields, navigation and 3D reconstruction as demonstrated in previous research and publications.
