Full Job Description

The project is led by the University of Liverpool as part of a team drawn from the universities of Leeds, the LSE and Queen¿s Belfast and will work under the direction of the Principal Investigator on this project, Professor Jon Tonge, Department of Politics, University of Liverpool, along with the co-investigators. Most of the team has extensive experience of running the Northern Ireland general election study, dating back to 2010.

The Post Doctoral Research Associate will play a leading role in the delivery of the study. The successful applicant can be based at home or the University of Liverpool. Regular travel to and within Northern Ireland will be required.

A PhD qualification in Political Science or a related discipline, is required for this role.

If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.

The post is a full time position, available from 4 November 2024 for a fixed term period of five months until 03 April 2025.
