Full Job Description

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Molecular Inorganic Chemistry in the broad areas of the Circular Economy and Sustainable Chemistry, to work under the supervision of Professor Dermot O'Hare for a period of up to 24 months. This project aims to establish the application of such main group complexes to small molecule activation and determine their reaction mechanism.

Applicants must hold a PhD in Molecular Inorganic Chemistry or a related area, (or be close to completion) prior to taking up the appointment. Have expertise in the methods and techniques of anaerobic chemistry, including the use of Schlenk lines or glove boxes.
You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines.
